Fucked Places

Here is a place that is fucked:

This river looks like this because it is full of acidic water from an old mine. At some places the water draining out of this mine has been measured to be -3.6 pH. Don’t beleive me? Fuck that. It’s called Iron Mountain Mine and it is in California. I learned about it in a geo class. The images of this place have stayed in my mind ever since. It is a reminder to me that some places on Earth are now so fucked they will take thousands of years to be right again.

The exception to that rule is when a fish is near Iron Mountain. Those fish look like this:

Sorry I am being such a dick about Iron Mountain but I just feel so bad about this place being fucked that I am taking it out on you.
